    In 2019, the Board of Trustees approved University Senate adding 5 voting members to advocate on behalf of staff on the University Senate.  The University Staff Advisory Committee (USAC) has been tasked with electing the five (5) Staff Senators to serve on the University Senate. The University Senate is comprised of 141 voting members including faculty, staff, students and administrators, the Senate’s primary responsibility is to advise campus leaders on the key educational and academic policy concerns.

    The Women’s Place is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 Staff Leadership Series (SLS), a 12-month, experiential leadership initiative. With the goal of expanding opportunities for women’s growth, leadership and power at the university, SLS workshops and gatherings are highly participatory, enhance leadership capacity and facilitate skills development. Applications, including two letters of recommendation, are due June 27 by 4:59 pm.

    Biometric Screening Day at the Agricultural Administration Building hosted by CFAES Staff Advisory Council It’s important that you Know Your Numbers!  By knowing your height, weight, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, total cholesterol, HDL, and blood sugar (either glucose or A1C) values, you can make changes to improve your health and reduce your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes and other serious illnesses. Completing a verified biometric screening is one of two requirements needed to earn premium credit towards your Ohio State health insurance.

    Join Wooster Staff Council for lunch in the Secrest Arboretum! Enjoy the walk or take a shuttle, which will run from 11:15am to 1:45pm with three stops: Williams Hall, Skou Hall and Secrest Arboretum. Food trucks Cookery and Korasada Korean BBQ & Taqueria will be located in front of the new Secrest Welcome Center for purchase of a delicious lunch.     The CFAES Annual Research Conference will take place on Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus, OH. This year's conference will include announcements of the faculty and staff award winners, an update on the CFAES research enterprise, and the annual poster competition.

    The 2019 USAC Staff Benefits & Wellness Expo will be held at the Ohio Union in the Archie M. Griffin Ballroom on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 11 am – 2 pm. Wellness themed break out sessions, in collaboration with Buckeye Wellness, will be offered as well from 11 am – 1 pm! Join over 2,000 of your fellow Ohio State employees searching for information on health and wellness and benefits. Biometric screenings will also be held from 830 am - 2 pm.
