What do you enjoy most about working within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences?

One of the things I like the most about working at the college is the land-grant mission of teaching, research, and extension. Our college has an impact across the state by performing research and outreach that is directly applicable to our stakeholder’s needs. Also, the people are great and I find that most are enthusiastic about the work that we do!

What would you suggest to staff members that are interested in getting more involved within our college and the university?

Volunteering to become a part of College Staff Advisory Council is great because you meet a lot of people around the college (which is highly beneficial to newer OSU staff members). There are many opportunities to volunteer around campus for events or activities that you are interested in. Also, I’d recommend becoming a member of professional groups around campus (like the OSU Administrative Professionals) to network within your field.
